The Disabled Services Department was created to fulfill the needs of our patrons with disabilities. The XL Center has made a firm commitment to provide each guest with an enjoyable atmosphere in a clean and safe surrounding, making each patron's visit to the Civic Center a positive experience. The Civic Center is wheelchair accessible and accommodating for patrons who have limited mobility or are blind, visually impaired, deaf and hard of hearing.

Note that we do not have accommodations for the hearing impaired - Listening devices.

Events

The XL Center plays host to world-class shows, concerts, family attractions and sporting events. The arena is home to the Hartford Wolf Pack; AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, the Big East Conference Women's Basketball Championship, and the home away from home for University of Connecticut Men's and Women's basketball programs.

Q: I am a wheelchair user and obtained non-accessible tickets from a friend or company. Can I use them?

A: YES If you are able to obtain non-accessible tickets, and you are a wheelchair user, please call the Disabled Services Department in order to be relocated, whenever possible, to a designated wheelchair location. We do, however, encourage you to utilize our services when purchasing tickets, so that we may better assist you.


Q: I am a wheelchair user and would like to sit with my friends and/or family members. Is this possible?

A: YES At a minimum, based upon availability, you will be permitted to purchase tickets for you and one guest. Depending on the demand of the show, we may be able accommodate up to two additional guests.


Q: I already have tickets for an event and I recently broke my leg and have a cast on. What can I do?

A: Please call the Disabled Services Department and we will make the necessary arrangements for you to attend the event in a comfortable and enjoyable manner. When calling, please have the event, date, section, row and seat available.


Q: I have tickets for a suite and would like to use them for a guest who requires the use of a electric scooter or wheelchair. What can I do?

A: All of our Suites are wheelchair accessible. Please call the Disabled Services Department with the Suite number and the date/time of the event you are attending and we will make arrangements to have a seat removed to make room for the electric scooter or wheelchair, if required.


Q: I am a large person and I don't think I can fit in the seat I have. What can I do?

A: The average seat size in the Arena and The Theater, measured from the inside of armrest to armrest, is 17" wide. Please call the Disabled Services Department if you require assistance.

Tickets for individuals with disabilities, subject to availability, may be purchased by calling the Disabled Services at (860) 249-7528, Monday through Friday, between the hours Noon and 5:00pm. Tickets are not available for sale at the XL Center Box Office on the first day of sale. For TTY Hearing Impaired reservations, please call (860) 549-7706.

Disabled seating is reserved for the exclusive use of individuals with disabilities and their guests and the purchase or use of these seating locations by non-disabled individuals is strictly prohibited and can result in ejection and/or forfeiture of ticket price. If the individual with a disability cannot attend an event for which he/she has purchased tickets, call the Box Office prior to the event taking place for further instructions.

Payment

We accept AMERICAN EXPRESS, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. Personal checks are not accepted. Additionally, in limited circumstances, the Disabled Services department will accept US Postal Money Orders. Please make money orders payable to "XL Center"

Refunds/Exchanges

There are no refunds or exchanges and all sales are final.

Lost/Stolen Tickets

In the event that tickets are lost or stolen, please contact the XL Center's Disabled Services department with your confirmation number and the event, date and time of the show. Upon verification, a Lost Ticket Voucher (LTV) will be arranged. The individual with a disability must pick up the LTV with valid identification, one hour before show time on the day of the event at The XL Center Box Office. The original tickets will not be honored.

Arena

For your safety, we recommend that you arrive at the XL Center one hour before the event time as you will be proceeding in the arena, part of the way, with the general public. Regardless of the section marked on your ticket, please proceed to the Guest Services entrance located at the Main Entrance (Trumbull Street) of the XL Center to the left of the XL Center Box Office windows. If you are holding tickets for floor seats (Sections 1-9), proceed to the elevator located behind Section 121. Please be aware that our XL Center personnel are available to assist you whenever possible. At the elevator you will be asked to present your ticket and an usher will assist you to your seat location.

Exhibition Center

Please proceed to the XL Center Box Office and ask a Box Office representative for assistance to the Exhibition Center. Please be aware that our XL Center personnel are available to assist you whenever possible. Please proceed to the elevator located down the hallway to the left of the XL Center Box Office windows (through the double doors). Once at the elevator please have your tickets available to present to XL Center staff. A staff member will then escort you to the Exhibition Center.
